More than 70,000 tested servo controllers leave the Metronix Braunschweig factory every year. The wide range of different products is based on a shared platform and can be quickly adapted to customer-specific requirements. This customization offers the user many new degrees of freedom. The goal was to develop a multi-platform application for smartphones and tablets that allows remote connection to Metronix servo controllers to view and control their status, operating values, operating modes, and protocols.
SABO Mobile IT has developed a multi-platform application called Servo Drives which enables wireless connection to industrial servo controllers, which control servo motors.
The communication layer is BLE GATT (Bluetooth Low Energy) with a high data throughput, which enables fast data updates and a highly stable asynchronous connection to several servo controllers simultaneously, even under demanding conditions.
The application's intuitive user interface provides a clear display of the status, operating values, and mode of the controllers on a variety of different mobile iOS and Android devices.
