The service box diagnostics tool is designed to allow a service technician to set and read parameters that are defined and available in the communication protocol between Rotaflow Drive II and Rotaflow II Console.
The service box acts as both the backend and the frontend, and only works via an Ethernet cable connection, without any exposure to the Internet.
The application provides the following functions:
The transport layer implements data reading and writing over CAN bus and RS232. All incoming and outgoing binary messages include a strict ruleset, defining intervals and timeouts. CAN bus specifically depends on very strict timing on the order of single milliseconds. This allows precise control over the actual and target drive speed, as well as reading further information, such as the serial number of the drive.
SABO Mobile IT developed a simple to use and intuitive dashboard that gives both service and production users easy access to the hardware and its data.
Firmware updates to the connected drive module ensure the service user can change volatile data, such as the serial number, on-time, or HW revision values.
The service and production test suite allow clear and concise hardware module and sensor verification and validation.
